The true act of forgiveness

How hard is it to really forgive someone or anyone who has done something wrong, whether accidental, or deliberate? Well, for most people its one of the hardest thing to do, perhaps that’s why the true act of forgiving is not practiced, and there so many violent crimes, divorces, wars in this world, and I could go on and on.

Lets look into this by using three persons, three different scenarios, three different lives. This is only an example so that we might have a better understanding of the true act of forgiving.

Lets start with someone who has always been angry and bitter in his immediate surroundings and their entire life. Perhaps this person lived or is living a very lonely life, due to the reasons of misfortunes, and they may have been mentally or physically abused, and maybe never really had someone in their lives that showed or gave any form of love throughout their entire life; and now live a very bitter life pushing everyone away. Now, lets consider a person who comes from a wealthy family; in which their parents bought their love with material thing, because their parents were never there at all, so, they eventually rely on themselves. Yet, this person always had everything they ever wanted, nothing needed at all that money can buy. All except true love, honest love and warm love, which never existed, and eventually grew up with the mentality that they do not need anyone in their lives. At the same time still felt very lonely, and had a very serious case of self pity, with no remorse of rejecting all who came close to whoever this is.

Last but not least, lets look at a person who was a good, well mannered, and respectable man throughout his life. He was brought up with admonishing parents who feared God, also never really cared much about the material things of this world. One who never really mingled much with the outside world, other than who he was taught to relate with. Where he saw misery, he was very caring, compassionate, and sympathetic towards the next person, who is in need of help, in one way or another. Yet, often times finds himself to be taken advantage of to the point of frustration; and would eventually see himself with a doubt of calming relief.

Now the question is who would be the one to act in forgiveness at any give time of wrong doing that may have occurred to them at one point or another? The bitter person, or wealthy person, or maybe the well behaved person. Neither, if you don’t have the love of our Lord in your heart, that person is not going have the true act of forgiveness in the norm.

If we are to look at the true act of forgiveness, we need to take a very long look at God and his merciful, longsuffering, forbearance, and forgiving heart. Throughout the centuries our Heavenly Father forgave the people of his choice, and that is the people that are descendant’s of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, which are known as the Israelites. Many times they turned their back on God, and God so full of mercy would always forgive them (Ex.34:6-9). Being called stiff-necked people, and by the pleas of Moses towards the Israelites, and by the prayer of one man for all, they were forgiven: this also applies to all His children(Jam.5:15)(1Jo.1:9). Here are several other examples of passages of how our Lord enacts with His own. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy(Ps103:8). (Ps.86:15) But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long-suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth(Ps.86:15). Thou show loving-kindness unto thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the father into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, is his name(Jeremiah32:18).

These are only a few examples to mention of the many times that God forgave the Israelites for many transgressions and their backsliding. Although, he being very gracious, and merciful; transcending all transgressions after so much has been done before his sight, and after so many years passing by there was a time of absence from God with all human beings. That it may have been in the time when it was considered the dark ages, I may be mistaken, but between the last prophet Malachi of the old testament and John the Baptist was a period of four-hundred years in the absences of God, it may as well be considered the dark ages. In the time that John the Baptist and our lord and savior Jesus Christ were born into this world, God saddened with the cries and morns of his people decided to show more than just his mercy, and to forgive all giving His son to the wretched world.

(Jo.3:16)For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Unlike, with God and our Lord Jesus Christ there has never been seen of such forgiveness given by no one at all. This is the true act of forgiveness that only comes from our heavenly Father, and is the one act that we as children of God should express as well to all humans; regardless of who they are: this can be seen in the book of John during Jesus Christ’s ministry when he was being tempted to falsely accuse; concerning a matter of an adulteress woman who was caught in the act, yet, Jesus did not condemn her and forgave her and commanded her to sin no more(Jo.8:3-11), and this is the true act of forgiveness, and this needs to be done especially to the brotherhood.

There is no forgiveness like God‘s, just as King David realized it as well when God held back His wrath against Israel. (Ps.78:38)But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath. If we were to look at the entire picture and truly absorb all his righteousness, perhaps we too could be as he is, truthfully merciful and forgiving. If the whole world were to be as he is, how pleasant would it be to live in this world, one can only imagine?

Can we really say without lying to ourselves, that we are as our Heavenly Father, and that we are just as forgiving, and truthfully hold no grudges, nudges, or some kind of little hidden failure deep in our heart? Another example of a righteous man that we can look upon is Joseph; and how would eventually forgive his brothers. (Gen.51:17) So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brother’s and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. Joseph wept when they spoke unto him.

Throughout the entire gospel there are many examples that we can use for our edification, and exhortation, so, that we too can apply the same forgiving heart in our lives, and above all it is required of us to act, in the true act of forgiveness. (Ep.4:32)And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ sake has forgiven you. (Col.3:13)Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do you.

This is very understandable that we; that belong to God as true worshippers are equal in every aspect of our Christian lives as becoming brothers in Christ, and there should not be any form of schism between us: as we are a part of the body of Christ. (1Cor.12:25) That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. With this being said there shouldn’t be any kind of division, secular attitude, segregation of any origin, no prejudice attitudes, no bias conflicts, no hatred, nothing that belongs to this world, because we are not of this world, and we are supposed to be as one with our Heavenly Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

So, it brings me back to the same notion of what was the greatest act, and who done it: God himself. I mentioned it earlier, but apart from this we know this, or rather should know this; because we are in his Spiritual realm as His dear children, and I‘, speaking of His glorious kingdom, so, therefore again we can read the same passage that clarifies and states the true act of forgiveness, (Jo.3:16,17)For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

If this is not to be sought as a forgiving act then what is? As well as we know that this is the true act of forgiveness, so, we therefore as children of God must apply this mentality in our lives, it would truly be very much easier for us just to forgive one another than to live in bitterness among the bother-hood. As for this act it would be even easier to apply this very act to others of this world, than to live in ruin full of hatred and animosity with each other just as everyone is in this world, its even written in the scriptures just how we must apply this act among all men; whether of they all this world, or within the realm of the brotherhood in our Christian lives (Ro12:16-21). The gospel also tell us that at any given time there is any kind of wrong that has occurred with anyone handle the matter rightfully, so, why bother with the things of this world; and mingle therewith, and try to avoid any conflicts, or doubtful disputations, but rather take the wrong instead(1Co6:1-12).

To relate, the key to having a forgiving heart is to have the same Love that comes from our Heavenly Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; full of compassion and mercy. It’s the Love that binds us, it’s the Love that keeps us safe, it’s the Love that refreshes us, it’s the Love that helps us forget the wrongs, it’s the Love that teaches us to Love, and its also the Love that teaches us to forgive, and above all it’s the Love that God sent to this world, Jesus Christ. I know, that the subject of Love is in a different lesson of itself, in which it could be brought up at in given time, but it really does not make any difference when we speak of Love; because this is where it all begins. In allowing the Love of God to fill up in our hearts in order to have the true act of forgiveness. Lets look at the basics of forgiveness, if God forgave you for being wretched; why not forgive others as well, and if we forgave one another lets always forgive one another, and if he forgave you why not forgive him as well [I’m speaking of any one that is of this world], and if they can forgive each other why not forgive the rest. Its not hard to forgive, but perhaps its hard to forget, and this is where it is wrong: all are found guilty; because to forget is to forgive, and to forget is to be forgiven. Why?; because there should be no more hate, jealousy, animosity, or any form of in differences of any kind that would stop us from forgiving. I truly believe that holding grudges, or have a heart can, and is a heavy burden that no one needs to carry around.

If there should be any passages to consider, consider the passages of Love in (1Co.13). Rather than to live a life of depraving yourself of God’s forgiveness; lets always apply the true act of Forgiveness in our lives, and be happy for once and for all for conscience sake.

May our Heavenly Father grant us this powerful Love, so that we too can be strong in the true act of forgiveness, so, that we can really live a peaceful life in the glorious realm of our Heavenly Father. God bless all!

State of Tommorrow

People are so worried about tomorrow as if death is knocking at their front door, and running around like there isn’t going to be a tomorrow, generated by fear. So I ask should we worry so much about tomorrow? I say no we shouldn’t specially after becoming Christians or rather brothers in Christ. But I will say this much if you are dead to GOD you should worry, but if you live for GOD, we have nothing to worry about, so long as we remain faithful to Him. Lets look at what James the apostle has to say about the state of tomorrow, he writes that it is not intended for us to consider about the morrow, for in doing so becomes evil boasting (Jam.4:13-16). In fact this clearly states that we as children of GOD should always rely on GOD and only GOD, and that’s with all honor, praises, and glory seeing how we owe our lives to him, and our fate is in his hands. So, basically what is there for us to worry about, for instance today is today, in which it was on the morrow yesterday, in which is today. It really makes no sense in worrying about tomorrow, because it will be today as it was yesterday. As the apostle James puts it so well, with the writings of “what is life, but a vapor,” meaning it was there yesterday here today and perhaps gone tomorrow, also lets keep in mind what Peter said to the first century Churches about the warnings he gave the godly, for the long patience of GOD, and hasten to their repentance (2Pe.3:8)But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. With this being said no one has any way of knowing what can happen at any given time, for this authority only belongs to GOD(Matt.24:36) but of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels in heaven, but my Father only. Other ref. on this can be found in (Mk.13:32)(Acts1:7). This is what David has to say about yesterday, today, and tomorrow (Ps.102:3)For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth. As I said earlier, the true and the only one who controls our fate is GOD. The people of the world assume that they have control of their own lives when in reality they don’t, because of the assumption of many thoughts, worries and fears. We turn the television on and we see all the problems that have occurred in the past, occurring in the present, and what could possibly happen with tomorrow, and this will eventually lead people to begin to look, and worry about the future, meaning tomorrow, and with so many theories and ideals that have crossed their minds they have created fear, and have developed a sense of insecurity as to what is to happen with tomorrow. I can relate and do understand where the people get there fear, I, we have been there at one point or another, and guess what, its fear that has them in knots. They fear for their lives, their children, their immediate family and family members, their homes, their jobs, the life that they are so used to living and coping with, in which they assume, and can perhaps that it may come crashing down on them. We all know that we as children of GOD must not possess this fear of life or fear man (Heb.13:5,6)let your conversation be without covetousness [be ye free from the love of money]; and be content with such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you. So that we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me. We all know that these intensions are what the devil had, has, and will have to create confusion, mayhem, and destruction. I guess that people don’t realize that it’s a mind game that the devil has mastered over the human mind, complete control by they’re weaknesses, in the thousands of years of manipulation. Also we know that this is done so that people are found to busy with their personal problems and make excuses for not having time for GOD, Jesus, or the Bible for that matter. Their reliance in based on what they see on TV and what they read in the news paper, which generates fear as I mentioned it earlier. The reliance of man strictly come from their commandments and ordinance which are the rudiments of this world (Col2:20-22)wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of this world, why as though living in the world, are you subject to ordinance, (touch not; taste not; handle not; which are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of man. This is where the devil has ultimate control, and put in the minds of the people, “what is the state of tomorrow”? There are those that worry to no end who involve them selves with scientific evolution, who believe in astrologers, and who believe in what ever man has to say. To me, as well as it should be to all of us that this information is false, because they only believe in what they have created out of the own imaginations. They disregard everything that God has said (Ro.1:18-22). One thing that is quite noticeable is that all these people who consider themselves wise have become wise in their own deceit, and the one who began such philosophies I call them full blown plagiarists, if we are to look at the actual work and words that they have used, they are mostly certain passages, paraphrases out of the Bible, for the convenience of man and their disgusting deceits, and monopolizing the mind of man with the help of who, the prince of this world. Having them to believe what they have uncovered, discovered, and formulized, with anything and everything pertaining to this world, beginning with astrology to the scientists, and everything in between, its all plagiarism. As far as the Holy Scriptures are concerned, its all there for our learning and to understand that we need to commit to it, live by it and not to plagiarize any of it. Perhaps this is the area where they all went wrong, creating their own ideals and theories, only to satisfy weakly minds, and gain glory for something that is not apparent or of no use to anyone at all. Well I guess this is where the blind will lead the blind (Matt.15:14),simply because they refused to acknowledge who GOD is and what he has done from the beginning of time, and the refusal of what is written in the scriptures. This is what the Holy Spirit says about those who refuse scriptural instruction (Pr.15:32) He that refuses instruction despises his own soul: but he that hears reproof gets understanding. So, here is understanding to fear GOD is wisdom of its own (Pr.15:33) The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honor is humility. Jesus Christ always said in the gospel of Matthew, he that has ears to hear let him hear, and again in the book of (Rev.2:11) He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the Churches. Throughout the scriptures it is written what we should fear and what not to fear or worry about, and this distinctively caries more weight on the state of tomorrow. I truly believe its because when we became children of GOD we are taught that we need to be more concerned about today, in the mere fact that if we have made any errors, mistakes, or perhaps offended someone, which are all considered sins we need to ask our Heavenly Father for his forgiveness to remain in the life after tomorrow, meaning eternal life.



I would have to say that if we are to really consider anything with the state of tomorrow it would be that we remain faithful today and concentrate on tomorrow when its today. So in all reality we as children of GOD would most likely be more worried about being right in the eyes of GOD this day and not have to worry so much about what is to become with the state of tomorrow. As far as I’m concerned the state of tomorrow has no binds on us, and it has no bonds on us, and it has no bearing in our Christian lives for that matter. We have a generous, loving, faithful, merciful, and caring GOD, that the only thing that we should worry and be overly concerned is that we are pleasing Him and Him alone. Here is wisdom that is known by those who belong to GOD, remember the parable of the sower and the seed, well its very evident that the worriers of this world are the one’s who Jesus spoke of in his explanation of his parable in (Mk.4:19) and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. As we know that this parable has four categories, and in the category just mentioned it gives us great detail of what is indeed that characteristics of the vast majority of this world, simply because they are overly consumed with the state of tomorrow. As I had written earlier if you are dead to GOD you should be over whelmed with what is going on in your life, and not for the cares of this world (1Tim.6:9)but they that will [are minded to] be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. What are the cares that they need to and should have, the concern for their salvation, relationship with GOD, and acknowledging everything there is to know about GOD (1Tim.6:18-19)that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may hold on eternal life

[the life which is life indeed]. After all what does the state of tomorrow has in store for us absolutely nothing. Are all days the same, no they are not everyday differs from the other because the days belong to our Heavenly Father. We as children of GOD are commanded to leave everything to Him, meaning all concerns, worries, vengeance, and anxiety, what ever else there is that can and will create problems in our Christian lives. The state of tomorrow should not and does not have control of our destiny, because the only destiny that we seek, or should be seeking is what GOD has in store for us.



The state of tomorrow is about confusion and depravity of GOD’S grace and righteousness.

The state of tomorrow is generated by fear instead of salvation and life eternal.

The state of tomorrow is the state of nothing other than what GOD has in store.

So, I say what ever the good Lord has to do with the state of tomorrow let it be in accordance.

Rejoicing in tribulation

The arousal of a question would be this: Just how far and can we compare ourselves to the trials and tribulations that our Lord and Savior went through his entire life? The answer should be very simple, and we know this because we have not even come close to the same trials and tribulations that he has; although it is evident that we will eventually experience something of such similarities at any given time. So, lets look into the very beginning of his life of sufferings that he went through and endured: begining with the time when he was being tempted by satan himself; this is perhaps one of the weakest and lowest points of his life being all alone, and perhaps with extreme thirst and for certain hunger beckoning him. I ask all, can we even consider to put ourselves through those extremes; after all forty day and forty nights are an awful long time to go without eating and thing, and maybe even going without water for that matter. So, back to the temptations of our Lord I am sure that everyone is well familiar with the scenario of the his temptations found in the gospel of (Matt.4:1-11). This should be to our knowledge the commencement of our Lords tribulations that he will endure in his next three years of his life; as we know it in the meekness and humbleness of his being he lived in poverty; yet very rich in Spirit. Another awful part of his life is that many had doubt in him; continuously questioned by the scribes and Pharisees, and they continuously conspired to capture and stone him; and with false accusation being brought against him of blasphemy.

Also, the Lord knowing that he was going to be deceived and betray by one of his own (Matt.26:21-24); which brings us to him knowing that his life was at the brink of death (Matt.26:36-42);the Lords trials before the Jews in the Sanhedrin (Matt.26:57-62);being accused wrongfully and he was spit on, slapped, shoved around, and they mocked his Holy name (Matt.26:65-68). After all this he was delivered to the Romans to be tried by Pontius Pilate; only he didn’t find any wrong in our Lord, but the elders and leaders of the Jews were persistent; in saying that Jesus was a trouble maker, a creator of seditions; the one to blame, and who always stirred up the multitudes. By this time, Pilate gave orders to have Jesus lashed, but that meant nothing to the leaders and elders; because they preferred a thief to be released instead of Jesus; then Pontius Pilate ordered to have Jesus crucified the following day: all this can be read in the book of (Matt.27).

After all this was done to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ he held no grudges, no anger, and no bitterness against anyone; in fact, he never raised his voice against anyone, or judged anyone at all: above all he prayed to our Heavenly Father to forgive them all (Luke23:34)Father forgive them; for they know not what they do.

This is later explained by the Apostle Paul to the Philippians; that no matter what, and if within any trials, tribulations, persecutions, and even death this should not make us weary of anything if you truly belong to God; who is our merciful, protecting and powerful God: so as we have our Lord Jesus as the ultimate example we therefore need to know this and keep it in mind (Phil.2:5-8)Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who being [existing] in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation [emptied himself], and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. As Paul gave them such an excellent example; we too have the same example to follow, and there is no doubt in my mind that anyone who portrays this since of honor towards God is indeed a child of God. One thing for certain, of what we need to be very sensible about; is knowing that we have not come close to the same trials, tribulations, and persecutions that our Lord went through; despite his innocence. Although, we as dear children of God will go through similar scenarios at any given time it would be quite prudent for all those who truly belong to God to rejoice in any tribulations that we have endured, or have gone through, or that we will go through. I truly believe that this needs to happen just see how strong our faith really is, enjoined with strong devotion, and strong commitment. Besides it is written in the word of God exactly what is the mind frame that we should possess (Ro.5:1-5) Furthermore, we should not feel any fear, or shame because we carry the name of Jesus Christ; as did the Apostles when they too were suffering trials, persecutions, and imprisonments (Acts5:40-41)and when they had called the Apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.



As we go on, in the topic of this lesson we will find ourselves reading many passages that are written for our benefit as well as for our edification and most importantly for our encouragement. For example we have a very bold and encouraging passage in (1Pet.3:12-14)For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if you be followers [zealous] of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness sake happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled. Basically, we as children of God should not fear man, or the devil and his puppets [the world], but fear God, and him alone (Heb.10:31)It’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Also, giving God his place with reverence and fear (Heb.12:28)Wherefore we receiving a kingdom that cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear [in awe]. Even our Lord Jesus preached of this fear to his disciples during his ministry (Luke12:5)but I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: fear him, which after he has killed has the power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, fear him. So, instead of living life with any kind of shame or fear; lets rejoice in what ever man or demons has to throw at us, and secure our relationship with God even stronger; just as Paul did when he was converted: a man in the similitude of Christ (2Cor.11:20-30) after this he tells the Corinthians of his pleasures and joys in everything for the name of Jesus Christ (2Cor.12:10)Therefore I take pleasure in the infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distress for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, them I am strong. Another encouraging statement that Paul gives concerning the joys of tribulations is set for their benefit as well as for us (2Cor7:4)Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.



There is so much that is going on in this world that it can become mind-boggling; and we that are saints must become aware of all such disasters concerning any and all tribulation; and one thing for certain that it has become more and more evident, and clearly seen: the fall of religion as it was once known to the people, but most importantly the fall of righteousness within man. One thing for certain is that we must always have in mind that the very existence of such turmoil will always be there no matter what, and there is no denial on this part. In the acknowledgement of all passages pertaining to this lesson we are taught of its existing tenor, and been forewarned of its presence to try and tear us down and pry us from our salvation: that is why we are also commanded to take care of our own salvation with fear and trembling (Phil.2:12)Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. As we know, the failing and doubts that occur in anyone’s life is because the vast majority of those persons are not faithfully strong enough, and are faced with multiple sins which in effect do happen to run across many tribulations as they are a part of; some come out of it fine and yet there are those who don’t.

All in all, the idea behind everything we believe; if we believe with all our self being that God is in charge of our very existence (Phil.2:13)For it is God which works in you both to will and to do his good pleasure. We know this because this is very evident with all of his righteous people that we read about throughout the gospel; and this includes our savior Jesus Christ. So, its quite apparent that this also applies to us as well without a doubt; and this can only be if our Heavenly Father allows this to be. So, no matter what the outcome is: it is very certain that we need to do what ever it takes for us to show just how faithful we are, or are going to be. There is no doubt in my mind that all necessary purposes need to happen as he seems fit; that is to his good pleasure. As I had said before everything that is before us: “meaning the word of God”, and there is an abundance for us to see; it is there for our benefit without any doubt. This was amplified by the brother of our Lord in his epistle to all Christians in general that we should rejoice in our cross as well as all tribulations; because these are there to try of our faith (Jam.1:2-4)My brothers, count it all joy when ye fall into divers [manifold] temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. I truly believe that when we have passed through what ever is thrown at us; it puts us closer to God and solidifies our relationship with him as well as with one another: this becomes true to the fact as Peter spoke of it with words of encouragement to all Christians in general (1Pet.1:2-9)Perpetual glorification of great importance; nevertheless its all important, and always having a clear conscience by forgiveness through prayer: with the mind set of the perils throughout time itself (1Pet.4:13-17). Another passage that is there for us to grasp for encouragement in our times of troubles would be when Paul at one time put it in plain and simple words; when he wrote to Timothy on an exhortation of constancy and perseverance (2Tim2:1-12). In the same principles Paul also encouraged the Corinthians (2Cor.1.7)And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing that as ye are partakers of the suffering’s, so shall ye be of the consolation. Also an exhortation from Paul to Timothy about stirring up the gift that is within (2Tim.2:7-8)For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of sound mind [discipline]. Be not therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God.

So, lets us give God all the glory and honor for the wonderful expectations he has bestowed on us and rejoice in our tribulations; because Christ suffered first for us, so let us also suffer for Christ’s sake (Phil.1:29)For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for his sake.

Finally, lets always remember were we came from; only never looking back, and the pact that we made never to return by the mercies of God. Our Heavenly Father has given us his powerful love to be where we are at right now; and the privilege to grow within his powerful love so that we can endure anything and everything that we will be confronted with day in and day out. No matter what, or who, either the carnal things of this world, or the evilness that lingers in darkness: as we know it they are there to try and destroy our salvation (Heb10:32-35).

A small token for the righteous “Remaining faithful till the end; is the assurance of our consolation, and we know that consolation is not of this world, but in a heavenly place.” “So, lets over come all trials and tribulations and earn that spot that is there for us: If the good Lord wills.”

For conscience sake

The importance to have a clear conscience in our Christian lives is perhaps one of the areas that most people least likely to speak of, and maybe have a hard time dealing with guilt; the question can arise as to why? And its because the reality of it, is that we all have a conscience that is defiled in one way or another. One thing for sure and I thank God for this; is that perhaps our guilty conscience is truly one of the areas that maybe does in fact keep us on track: we all know this, its that little voice of our inner self, and this is because we become very conscientious of our behavior as children of God. So, we do anything and everything in our power to live a righteous life before the eyes of God and men alike. I also truly believe that its because of the word of God that not only strengths our spirit, in a molding way, and does wonders for our conscience as well; seeing how our conscience reminds us of the right and wrongs we are taught throughout the word of God. Presumptuously, can we really and completely rely on our self conscience just as the old cliché says “let your conscience be your guide”, personally I don’t think that this is a wise choice. So, we therefore become more rational with the wisdom of God, and become more contrite with the knowledge of God; and with the full acknowledgement of the concept that we are to set the example to all those whose eyes are upon us; and not forgetting the simple idea of our commitment to our Heavenly Father. Although we do, and we will struggle through life living in this world; but yet we do what is expected of us without hesitation. Who better to explain and give a good answer to any notion of having a good conscience than the Apostle Paul himself. As he has always been a strong defender of the faith, and has always been very bold; his boldness is very evident when he was being accused by Tertullus the orator of being a mover of sedition, causing an insurrection, or better yet a ring leader of the Nazarenes (Acts24:16) and herein I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. Another passage and is a very confrontational one at that; and is one which give us an expression, as well as an explanatory quote of what is truly expected of us without any doubt: this is found in (Ro.12:16-18). That is to be guiltless of any wrong doing as a Child of God; and be under subjection of the will of God, for two reasons: which are the wrath of God, and for our conscience sake (Ro.13:5) Wherefore you must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. In this passage the word wrath is used to clarify one thing and one thing only, and that is God’s wrath. This is something that we as dear children of God definitely don’t wish to see; and as we have read many passages containing the explanation of God‘s wrath: for example “vengeance is mine and I will recompense”, and another is “you don’t want to fall into the hands of the living God”. I say that if we don’t carry these messages with fear within our conscience our religion is vain; because where is our fear of God, where is our guilt, and where is having regard for the next person, or God for that matter. In connection with our conscience of guilt we also need to put into practice rejoicing in tribulation; because happy are we when we suffer for being right, good, and righteous. Above all this gives us the satisfaction of our worthiness of God’s holy salvation, and being a part of his glorious kingdom: this is explained by Peter in his first Epistle to all Christians in general (1Pet.2:19,20) For this is thankworthy [acceptable], if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For what glory is it, if when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? But if when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this acceptable with God. We all know just how weak we can become especially when we are in a time of need; and when it appears that everything is going wrong and that it seems that everyone is against you some how, some way! I would imagine, or assume that this is one of the areas that always gets to the best of anyone some how, some way; that this is why I truly believe why there is so much trouble out in the world: nobody wants to give in. It can literally lead certain people to go mad, crazy, and without remorse and do things irrationally; they tend to loose conscience of reality by acting out in anger and ignorance. That is why we as Christians are forewarned of these scenarios in the word of God; and by all means we must always be aware of our behavior for conscience sake of the brotherhood. In fact, that is why we have taken a more serious step in life to live by the word of God and renounce everything that was in our sinful past: this has more meaning to those who have decided to teach the word of God. The first thing that perhaps crosses the teachers mind is another cliché “ practice what you preach” because what is written in the book of Galatians: which talks about what we are taught, and how we need to speak (Gal.6:6-10). This is also clarified by Paul to the Corinthians when he declared how he has used all sincerity and faithful diligence in preaching the gospel (2Cor.4:1,2) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty [shame], not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. Nevertheless and despite what will come at us, or what we have gone through, and will go through; we must assure ourselves with all certainty that we may never fail our Heavenly Father if we have a good sound mind and a clear conscience; meaning we do practice what we preach. To be strong in faith and persevere, because we have yet to see more to come; and just as all the apostle’s, as well as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ suffered, and knowing that this was to happen, even though they knew this they all remained sane. All except one, who is better known as the son of perdition; the one whose conscience got the better of him: well any way with all awareness this is because of the assurance that was bestowed on them, and the fulfillment of the promise that God has given to all of interest. They took joy in their fulfillment by approving themselves as ministers of God; and this is explained by Paul to the Corinthians in (2Cor.6:1-10). If there is any sign of encouragement of having a good sound mind; and considering our own conscience we too need to practice and possess what they did and went through. Besides we have already begun the process of stabilizing our own assurance each day, and every time we pick up the word of God and study it; not just by reading it, but applying it to our lives as Christians. Furthermore, as dear children of God we exercise the privileges that are written for our benefit; not just by keep them to ourselves, but to pass it on to others who are interested as well: above all this is a commandment that we do carry, and practice this with its high importance. We know of its importance and we dare not question it; only live it to its full application, because the one thing that surrounds everything pertaining to the word of God is Love: this is expressed by Paul in his letter to Timothy (1Tim.1:5) Now the end of the commandment {charge} is charity {love} out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and faith unfeigned. All I know is that in speaking of our conscience we tend to regret many things that have occurred in our lives in which develops guilt; and by this guilt we admit to ourselves that we need to confess our errors, mistakes, and sins. So, with this being known thank God for the privilege of forgiveness and being able to redeem ourselves to God with the precious blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ: this is all done by, and through faith with a pure conscience (1Tim.3:9) Holding the mystery of faith in a pure conscience. As a reminder to us we must never forget that through the precious blood of Jesus we were bought, so, we therefore keep this in mind for conscience sake as well, because it’s the blood that keeps us pure, and keeps us clean to be holy (Heb9:14) How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?



It all makes sense to the last detail of every word that we read in the word of God without a doubt; and its amazing just how wonderful its put together for our benefit. The main benefit would be that we no longer live in sin, or for sin; and did away with that evil conscience that once separated us from the love of God (Heb.10:22-23) Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession [confession] of our faith [hope] without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;): now in reference to the pure water that is spoken of, in this passage; as I did my research this is speaking of the pure and living water that our lord once spoke of (Jo.4:14) But whosever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. For conscience sake we must always remember that through the pure blood of Christ is what keeps us close to our Heavenly Father; it has done everything for us for instance we have remission of sins, we are cleaned and made pure and holy, we were purged from all sin, iniquities, and transgressions; and the list goes on and on. I truly believe that we have a wide variety of examples we can follow that are written in the scriptures. Which are very good and strong examples, but we read what the author of Hebrews wrote to all Christians in general that we must pertain to, and act on, and live by for our conscience sake: is to look no further to who is in charge of us, and are setting the example as well (Heb.13:17-18) Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. To conclude this lesson I wish only to say that may the good Lord bless you and keep you always, and never forget that the eyes of God are upon the righteous, and he hears their prayers!

As a child of God

What is a significant status that can tell the difference between a child of God, and the opposing nature of a person of this world? We know that its not church goers, or religious philosopher’s, or even those that appear to be fanatics of religion, who in my eyes all tend to be hypocrites, who are not even close to be considered a child of God.

We all know what it truly takes to be a child of God, because we are the children of God. We not only made the necessary changes in our lives, which includes obeying to his every commandments, specially to the one where we replenish our spirit through baptism, and we do everything possible to make that living sacrifice that our Heavenly Father which He requires of us to have, and do in accordance to his glorious will (Ro.12:1,2) I beseech you therefore brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable [spiritual] service. And be not conformed [fashioned according] to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. We therefore do this not only on the first day of the week, but everyday of our lives, until the day we die or the day we worship him in our heavenly home (1Pe.2:5) You also, as lively [living] stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

As a child of God, I offer my advice to any who thinks of making the decision of returning to God, that we must leave the life we once lived and commit to God more than it is expected of ourselves. Anyone can assume that the sacrifice is but a one time thing, but in reality is a lifetime thing, day after day, night after night, in other words 24/7/365 till infinity.



This childhood can not be bought with anything other than ourselves, and we know this because we have read about this in the Holy Scriptures, about a certain man named Simon the sorcerer (Acts8:13-24) the gall and bitterness of anyone who would assume such ignorance. Lets not be naïve about this, because it may also be in relation with the idea for those who give generously or perhaps help the poor, thinking that this is their ticket to enter heaven, a terrible misconception of God’s will.

Lets consider the one fact concerning everything that surrounds a child of God, in order to make sense of it all, and it is really that simple “Everything that belongs to God belongs to God without a doubt, so this means that as a child of God we belong to him, but only if this is done in accordance with his glorious will, with no doubt in mind, no going back and forth, no veering off the right path, but being of strong sound mind. We do everything possible to correct, reproof, and make all necessary changes using the word of God as our guide, and the word of God is what molds us to his pleasure (2Ti.3:16,17) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine [teaching], for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect [complete], thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

This is something that we as a child of God is already aware of because we have read this many times over, apart from the many verses that are written, and I’m sure that a true yokefellow can concur with me on this. Going back to the surety of our knowledge that we do belong to our Heavenly Father should be a safe assumption that we do not mingle with the affairs of this world or this life, because it is not who we are anymore, and we no longer belong to ourselves. We have become soldiers of Christ (2Ti.2:3,4) Thou therefore endure hardness [suffer hardship with me], as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that is at war [no soldier on service] entangles himself with the affairs of this life: that he may please him who has chosen [enrolled] him to be a soldier.

We all know exactly what this means, that is, we do not fraternize with the enemy, because the enemy is always there: that can and will pull us away from what we are known as, or should be known as, children of God, again what belongs to God; belongs to God, unless we or anyone wishes not to be a part of God. Lets face it there is absolutely no room for hypocrisy in the glorious kingdom of God. As a child of God the only affiliation that we must have with this world, is to teach this world about Jesus Christ, to pray for all men and women alike, to reprove all evildoers, and to shine as lights in the world using the word of God as our gavel.

As it is written, redeeming the time, and life is but a gas, it is a vapor and vanishes in thin air. Well, the key word to everything that consists in a child of God is obedience. As I have said many times before, we all know that sin still lingers within us, but we as children of God take that extra step to ensure our own fate, simply by living a daily sacrifice in our honor towards God. We at times force ourselves to do the right thing, not to please anybody but God. Let’s consider the ultimate example that we have, and the ultimate sacrifice that was made for our behalf; that was offered once, and once and for all (Heb.10:10) By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Paul told the Philippians, by exhorting them to unity and humility, by example in Christ on this matter as becoming children of God(Ph.2:3-8) that being in a lowliness of mind, and regarding the next person better that yourself is not a bad thing. Also that being faithful, and obedient is all part of the same sacrifice that we need to always have in our frame of mind.

One thing that comes out of the mouth of every human, when they are told this very issue, is that how can we be as he was (Jesus Christ), knowing that he came from God pure and holy, blameless, spotless, and no guile in his mouth; and we being just the opposite of who Christ was or is? Assuming that they are right to a specific point, and that there is no comparison as far as our sin’s are concerned, yet he was still in human form as we are; and did suffer more than we have even come close to the suffering that he over came. All is inexcusable, because our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said, that we all can be as one as they are, in his intercessory prayer to our heavenly Father in (Jo.17:16-26). I tell you what every time I read John 17, which is our Lords intercessory prayer for us; it always beings tears to my eyes, and is very comforting, puts hope where it belongs, in our heart, and spirit. Its quite visible that the example that our Lord sets for us, is that we to should always pray for each other, and to become as one with them as well.

No greater sacrifice has ever been done for anyone than the one that has been done for the whole world. We all know this, and the whole world is aware of this as well, and the true sacrifice that was done, was by God to give his only begotten Son to die for the world.

As well as the sacrifice that Jesus made for all, so that we all may be saved through him. Other examples of sacrifices that were made, were made by the Apostles and the first century Christians, who with the assistance of God’s Holy Spirit established the Church and wrote the Holy Scriptures, that we now have this day in time. If we are to look at anything up close, and for certain as these are all examples for us to see is what it takes to be a child of God, and to be as a child of God. Many times I have spoken in my lessons about the Scriptures, how they are there for us to read and learn everything that pertains to our Heavenly Father, and how it is used to mold us to the way our Father in Heaven is pleased. I truly believe and have all the faith that exists within myself, if we are being molded by the word of God is because it’s the Holy Spirit of God that is working in us, for us, and towards us to be that better child for our Heavenly Father. I am sure that every day we can see changes in our lives that weren’t there before, and we know why, and have read it many times before (Mat.19:26) With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Another reason as to why we should believe that we are his, he disciplines us to his favor (He.12:5-8) verses 5-7 speaks directly as to what I am speaking about, if we are a child of God, we are dealt as a child of God. In verse 8 it also unfolds the reality of the ones that do not belong to God.

I myself concur with everything that has been said thus far. Reason being is that we are here, listening to the word of God, admonishing and edifying each other with spiritual, hymns, and songs worshiping our Heavenly Father, doing everything that is commanded of us.

Even if we sacrifice what ever, and everything that gets in the way or what ever tries to hold us back. Listen here and observe in the words of encouragement that are unfolded from, and within the Word of God; just as the words that written and spoken are guided by the Holy Spirit of God.

As a child of God we need to always rely on his help for everything, that is from the biggest to the smallest thing, even of what troubles us, or what He can do for us! As we know that there isn’t nothing that is out there that God can do, and also gives some us the power of prayer to be a righteous man, and through this prayer they can avail plenty, seeing that: that person is, as a child of God!

As a child of God we win the victory over death.

As a child of God we prevail in our faithful life to please God.

As child of God we have become joint-heirs with Jesus Christ.

As a child of God we are living life after death.

I say we are living life after death because we died in our baptism; being buried with Christ, and we were resurrected a new being as a child of God. So, then if we be as a child of God we are obligated to obey all of God commandments: as we are also called the elect through the sanctifying Spirit and the precious blood of Christ which purifies us to be holy in the presences of God.

After all it’s the glorious wisdom of God that fulfills the inner man as we put into practice (James3:17,18)But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

So, to end this lesson it is good to around those who truly show the love that God has bestowed in each and everyone of us as becoming a child of God!

A wrong judgment call

Judge not to be judged



One thing that is quite apparent, and very obvious is that in the world these days; everyone tends to judge one another with ease, and strong exaggerated gestures. Regardless and despite who gets dehumanized, offended, hurt, or misinterpreted!

Yet, I believe that one of the main reason for this judging world would be: is the majority of times; would be that one thinks one is better than the other; which is an error that never fails; a crisis of inferiority and superiority complex: among other ideas in conflicts of a sarcastic judgment call. It has become very easy to realize that this world is full of liars, deceivers, and manipulators; yet, to say the least full blown hypocrites, but I ask could this be another way of judging people the wrong way?

Well, considering all the facts: the truth of giving our opinion on this very issue on any kind, could be, and maybe it is wrong, or perhaps it’s wrong to a certain point, which is dully noted. So, in reality, and all truth we should not judge anyone or anything at all; or speak out of line, and better yet its better to keep our opinions to ourselves; because in its simplicity everyone is quick to give a slanderous opinion in a mocking way: only, we must, by all means learn how to keep our verbal indifferences to ourselves.

In other words we must not ridicule, or mock anyone or anything; whether man, or things of this world, or things in the next worlds (heaven or hell); because in the next worlds we don‘t know what is in store for everyone, and besides who are we, or who is anyone to judge; this is especially more important, towards, and within the unity of the brotherhood.

Our Lord Jesus Christ explained this to the multitudes in his sermon on the mount; which stipulates that no one has the right to judge another because we all make mistakes, errors, and commit sins (Matt7:1-5)Judge not that ye be not judged. For what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why behold thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but consider not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how will thou say to thy brother, let me pull [cast] out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shall thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. This to me is an excellent example of such reproving that we all need many times over and over; because just as they; we too often make the same mistakes of being too judgmental for the smallest things and exaggerate to the bigger things in life, and this includes everything else that surrounds us. It would be safe to realize that no one is better than the next in any area of life; that is the life we live in this world.

So, if we don’t like to be judged why do we yet judge, and we all know that some or all of any judging comment is first cruel, hurtful, despising, and unnecessary; besides we are not to judge anything before the time has come as the Holy Spirit through Paul made mention of it in a clear statement to the Corinthians, as a bold commandment; (1Co.4:5)Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the heart: and then shall every man have praise of God.

In fact it is better for everyone to just over look anything and everything: meaning and to simplify the idea: we are already having a hard time with in ourselves, and also have to deal with ourselves in not misbehaving before God and man alike; What I am simply trying to say is “why must we over burden ourselves for something that is not worth while being looked over, or handled, or being consumed over irrational ideas, gestures, or comments?” it’s a never ending problem in the fine line of being sarcastically judgmental.

In fact we as children of the most High should be doing the opposite; entreat everyone the same, forgive all the same, pray for all the same, and not be judgmental for no reason, or excuse: this is explained by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ: who boldly expressed this to the multitudes of loving everyone the same, and being merciful (Luke6:32-38)For if you love them that love you, what thank have ye? For sinners also love those who love them. And if you do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? For sinners also do the same. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? For sinners also lend to sinners, to receive much again. But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping nothing again [never despairing]; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, press down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

One thing for sure, as I have mentioned this before, and its clearly stated in these few passages; is that we, or anyone does not have any right to judge any at all; because we are all the same without a clueless doubt: understanding that sin still lives within us, or rather inherited in our flesh; with the safe assumption that no one is above, or better than the next person.

This being something that not all will admit, because some people still linger with a superiority complex; but in any case no one has any excuses for their excuses, and besides we do have God’s commandments that instruct us, and teach us how to present ourselves before man and most importantly God.

In fact, according to the scriptures anyone who judges another is inexcusable, so, we as well as all must not judge anything at all for any instance; because we are condemning ourselves in doing so, (Ro.2:1)Therefore thou are inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou are that judges: for wherein thou judges another, thou condemns thyself; for thou that judges do the same things.

One excellent example that our Lord gave during his ministry is when the scribes and Pharisees brought a woman who was caught in the very act of adultery: in which they, but only tried to tempt our Lord too accuse him falsely, and with prevailing nothing; and nothing was accomplished seeing how they were all cut to the heart by their own guilty conscience standing without a judgment call, or raise a stone against her; therefore could not even condemn her (Jo8:1-11).

Just as they we too can find ourselves in the same scenario at one point or another thinking we are doing the right thing; when we’re not. In this passage our Lord truly makes all those men regret their actions by the conviction of their own conscience: that they all had a perpetual understanding that they were all living in sin as well, and perhaps had a strong inclination of who were they to judge?

Another strong commandment as well as a discrediting detraction in ones error of dehumanizing one another wrongfully can be found in (James4:11-12)Speak not evil of one of another, brothers. He that speaks evil of his brother, and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law, and judges the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver , who is able to save and destroy: who art thou that judges another [thy neighbor]?

What a clear message this is, first, it speaks of speaking evil, and judging a brother; if we commit such heinous acts we can be found guilty of breaking God’s law: secondly, it also refers to the rest of the world, and this all applies in all instances no matter who anyone is. I also truly believe that when we see someone mocking another, or joking about another; would, and should also be considered a wrongful judgment call; all falling in the category of slander; which is very deliberate judgment call.

Even if one thinks that it wasn’t deliberate; because, it becomes a part of that persons crude nature, as being “a comedian.” In any case, please, and by all means don’t get me wrong we are all guilty of this, because we all get caught in the middle. Which eventually for some persons, or perhaps realize the heinous error that was made, or done; may lead us to that awful feeling of guilt, and we therefore beg God to forgive us for our discrediting mockery, and judgment call.

The complete contrast of what this lesson is all about; is that we should possess a more graceful, merciful, and unquestioned speech of character towards the next person: (Col4:6)Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to speak. Basically, this is telling us to have a good savory conversation instead of degrading one another; this is what I understand from this text: or better yet, lets have a spiritual conversation instead. Another text in the same class is when Jesus is teaching his disciples pertaining to same subject of having a good conversation, and considerate remarks; (Mk.9:50)Salt is good: but if the salt has lost its saltiness, wherewith will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another. Clearly, this gives the same understanding just as text before (Col4:6). This to me does in fact gives an understatement; in a very familiar quote “if you don’t have anything good to say; don’t say nothing at all!” Because if it’s a sarcastic judgment call, or making a mockery of someone else; knowing that it was wrong: we are in trouble for braking God’s law, and this is without a doubt of its certainty.

So, it is prudent that what ever comes out of our mouth must be good, decent, honest, and sound speech to avoid braking any of God’s laws: (Titus2:8)Sound speech, that can not be condemned; that he that is of the contrary maybe ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you [us].

Lets keep our yea’s yea, and our nay’s nay; that way we avoid any kind of conflicts of making a wrong judgment call. Precisely doing what we are commanded is a sure way of never failing, faltering, breaking, or sinning against any of God’s law. I know that as well as I, you all feel the same way; yet to be more bold and not sound rude we all should feel the same way. Belonging to God as a dear child we should all posses a penitent heart; that will always set us straight! If anyone has an opinion of any kind I’d rather here you say something that is edifying for me as well as for the rest of the listeners. If we are going to judge anything, or anyone; lets rather judge ourselves each and every time we goof, every time we stoop to a low level of sins!

Penitent Heart

What exactly is a penitent heart is a question one would probably ask? And the answer to the question is: to feel sorrow for any wrong doings, or to feel regret for the committed sins: with absolute, it is the aching heart of the guilty; that only a true worshipper can feel, and can really acknowledge the wrong in ones life! A famous writer once quoted “To regret deeply is to live afresh” (Henry Thoreau), and to compliment this quote we can look at certain word phrases like: self-reproach, self-reproof, self-accusation, self condemnation, self-humiliation, or voice of conscience, and awakened conscience. I also, truly believe that this only happens to those who not only know the word of God, but makes an effortless attempt to put it into practice with the full assurance with the act of repentance; to show gratitude, and honorably serve God the way God has always intended for everyone to serve Him in truth, in spirit, and in righteousness with unfailing love.

A person who is the owner of a penitent heart is a person who truly, and deeply regrets sinning: or rather expresses the feeling of regret, and has a heaviness of sorrow for having committed sins or misdeeds; unlike the rest of the vast majority of people who have pleasure in committing sins without any affect whatsoever. For the one who does in fact posses this penitent heart; possesses one of the gifts that God has given to His child as a blessing, so, that when one returns to Him: will assuredly be treated as a son of God (Heb.12:4-7).

The idea behind a penitent heart can only come from God; because as he was, and is exactly the same: for instance when He flooded the world in the time Noah; because the human race was, and were ignorantly full of disbelief, and with extreme disobedience. I would assume that frustration really got the best of our Heavenly Father; do we not act the same at times: yet He later had a penitent heart over what He had done; only towards his creations and not mankind, (Gen.8:21)And the Lord smelled the sweet savor; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground anymore for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every living thing, as I have done.

Here we have God sadden for the mass destruction that was done to His beautiful creation because of the rebellious hearts of mankind: despite everything truly God has the possession of “A Penitent Heart!”

Of course this is only one example of who and how God is; just to show us His power, His intolerance for disobedience; on the other hand shows sorrow, and regret with His penitent heart, and above all His mercy, love, and patience.

I truly believe that he definitely bestowed upon us this merciful blessing of an act of penitence, so, that those who do belong to Him will show mercy as well; and again I believe that this can only apply to those who are true to Him, and worship him in truth and in spirit (Jo.4:23). One can not deny this because its all biblical: sound and true to the word, and this is God’s word that I’m citing to its true essence.

Now, as for us; as the weakly and beggarly form of beings we have the privilege and honor of having this penitent heart to our advantage: as I had mentioned earlier; “only to those who are true to him;” have the contingency of having our sins remitted at first hand upon the changes we make in our lives in accordance to the will of God, and this is applied throughout our Christian lives as we walk in the light as His dear Children; because from darkness is where we came from, and in the light is where we walk (Eph.5:8-10)For ye were sometimes [once] darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (for the fruit of the Spirit [light] is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

When one truly has a convicted heart prior to his baptism one goes before God through prayer, and begs for forgiveness of all of one sins and horrible mistakes throughout one’s life. If one is truly convicted for their horrid errors; I truly believe with all my heart; that He looks upon everyone’s heart to see just how true one is in His presence, and if found truthful and convicted He therefore in-flights the Holy Spirit as a guidance to help us embrace all that is ahead.

To remit, in speaking of the gift of the Holy Spirit it is know in truth; that no one knows when one does in fact receive the gift of the Holy Spirit as Jesus Christ explains this to Nicodemus in the gospel of John (Jo3:6-8)That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again. The wind blows where it listeth, and thou hears the sound thereof, but can not tell when it comes and where it goes: so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.

So, going back to the lesson at hand; we are without hesitation obliged in secrecy in our state of mind before God through our prayers, and it is our true form of communicating with God. This how we express to God of our humility, and aching heart of our many sins, and begging Him for His forgiveness. I would also have to say that this is also a genuine practice of a penitent heart; with confidence of admitting to ourselves who we truly are; which is not farfetched to the conclusion of salvaging our salvation; (Matt6:6)But thou, when thou pray, enter into thy closet, and when thou has shut the door, pray to the Father which is secret; and thy Father which sees in secret shall reward thee openly.

I know for a fact that we all have witnessed many person who do not posses a penitent heart; because if they did they would not make it look so obvious, with their intention, and how awful they all misbehave. As an example there are those who take pleasure as a homicidal maniac, no mercy, and no remorseful attribute whatsoever to say the least; there are those who abuse women and children out of a cruel heart, and the list goes on and on etc….

Yet they still have the opportunity of returning back to God from their wickedness and make straight the path they are walking on (Deut.4:29-31)But if from thence thou shall seek the Lord thy God, thou shall find Him, if thou seek Him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. When thou are in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shall be obedient unto His voice; (for the Lord thy God is a Merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee. (Heb.13:5)Let your conversation be without covetousness [be ye free from the love of money]; and be content with such things as ye have: for He has said, I will never leave thee , nor forsake thee.

Wow, this is totally wonderful, and with this being known; how can anyone allow themselves to backslide against God, and who ever does; must be out of their minds to do so, not realizing what all they have destroyed: mainly and most importantly their relationship with God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In connection, another area that would fit the criteria of having a penitent heart is the act of forgiving, harming no one, and also not judging no one at all (Lk.6:37) Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.

We all know where this world lies on this specific persona because this world is very judgmental, quick to hurt and destroy; as far as the world is concerned there is no forgiveness in the vast majority of mankind, and if there is its rare. Lets really look at this in a different perspective, if God permits! say for instance, if we all; meaning the entire world, were to contain this powerful love and mercy we would be living in a very different world where everyone would be living in peace and harmony; because we all would have a penitent heart and show a more graceful love that God would have bestowed upon everyone from the very beginning without a doubt!

Unfortunately, this world is where this world is; because the lack of a penitent heart, the lack of Gods love in their heart, the lack of mercy, and the lack of unity. Now, as for unity, is a word that only come to motion when the world is concerned about their worldly cares: for example the concern of cruelty to animals, the ozone layer, global warming, gay rights, and liberal women with their opposing factors of ruling over man and the list goes on and on; in which all are contrary to the will of God. You know, and I know that there is so much to talk about; yet very little time; and one thing we don’t have is time, because we are always under the scrutiny of satan, and his evil puppets everywhere, anywhere, any time, anyhow, and anyway: among other things we are also under the charge of redeeming the time (Ep.5:16)redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (Col4:5)Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

This is better explained by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when he was telling his apostles and disciples of his departure (Jo.12:35-36)Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness comes upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not where he goes. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.

So, I ask do you think that its important to know about the knowledge of having a penitent heart; whether its important to be sought as a valuable lesson? Well, to me its very important, and that I for one can relate with this notion each and every time I make, or fall into an error before my Heavenly Father: it literally gives me a sickening feeling of disgust within myself, for any, and all the sins that I commit absent-mindedly, and ignorantly. This is why I truly believe that a true child of God can only posses this attribute: that enables His children to feel very sad and full of sorrow each and every time this happens.

Thank God for allowing us to have a penitent heart, so, that we can begin to fully understand just how miserable and lonely one be without God in ones life through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lets hold fast to our blessings that way we know where we stand, and gives us the hope that was delivered to us as a blessing; because of our penitent heart that we boldly show.



Should we really consider ourselves to be lucky; absolutely not! Because if we belong to our Heavenly Father this does not give us any right to think that luck is involved, and if this happens, then we are acting in the opposing fact of a penitent heart; we should know that its the Love of God that has a bind on us with complete control.

Again this world is full of persons who posses the different attribute that belongs to their father; it’s a disgusting attribute of obduracy which is also known as flinty, adamant, unyielding, inflexible, stubborn, hardened, no remorse, or mercy, and not even love for that matter.

So, who are we? Are we not Gods children: the one who posses the true penitent heart; because one who possesses a obduracy heart is one who is in conflict with themselves, and the will of God. The choice is ours simply by either living by the will of God, or by our own will; which is the will of this world and satan!

Again, lets have a stronghold on our blessing and never forget who we are; but not to please ourselves or anyone; because the pleasure belongs to God alone.
